Welcome to School in the Woods Montessori School! As Maria Montessori described it, “Education is not something a teacher gives, but is a natural process spontaneously carried out by the individual. It is not acquired by listening to words, but by virtue of experience in which the child acts on his environment.”

I am in awe each day as I watch the children in our programs make new discoveries and build confidence in themselves under the tutelage of our outstanding faculty, all of whom hold Montessori teaching credentials.
