I moved to Denver from Dallas in 2024. After graduating from the University of North Texas, I realized my love of learning was something I wanted to share with others. I discovered Montessori when I began working as an assistant teacher in a primary Montessori classroom. It was there that I earned my Montessori Early Childhood certification and became passionate about the philosophies of Dr. Maria Montessori. More recently, I had the opportunity to work in a Toddler classroom, where I gained an even deeper appreciation for the extraordinary capabilities of young children.
What resonates most with me is how the Montessori materials foster curiosity, independence, and deep concentration. I have also experienced the positive impact of these principles personally, making Montessori not just a teaching method but a meaningful way of learning and growing as an adult.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy hiking in the mountains, exploring local parks, swimming, practicing yoga, and going to the movies. I am grateful to be part of the School in the Woods community, where I have the privilege of teaching and supporting children during an exciting and important stage of their development.
