I first came to School in the Woods as a parent, and my son's experience in the Parent/Infant program inspired me to become a Montessori educator. Now, I have the privilege of guiding that very same program, a role that allows me to support fellow parents and caregivers in aiding their children’s development. To pursue this calling, I’m currently completing my Infant and Toddler Montessori certification at MECR.
I bring a rich background in storytelling to my work as a Montessorian. After earning a master's degree in journalism from New York University, I edited for publications like People and Marie Claire, authored two bestselling books, and produced television for FX, Netflix, and HBO. The throughline of my career has been a dedication to using stories to build connection, amplify marginalized voices, and create environments of belonging—a mission that echoes Montessori philosophy.
I believe in the method's power to cultivate confident, curious, and compassionate individuals. A native of Honolulu, I moved to Denver in 2023 with my family. We love exploring local parks, gardens and coffee shops, rediscovering our new city through the boundless curiosity of our toddler.
