While I was in college, one of the schools I worked at was a Montessori School, and I found it fascinating. After graduating from Brigham Young University - Idaho in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in child development, I decided I wanted to become a Montessori teacher. I received my Early Childhood certification from Westminster College of Salt Lake City in 2016. I love listening to children as they tell me stories about what’s going on in their lives, and I’m gratified watching as they grasp new concepts and share with me all they have learned.

I was adopted from Peru at the age of 2 and grew up in the Denver area. I moved back to Denver after living in Austin, Texas, where I was a Montessori teacher for four years. I joined the faculty of School in the Woods Montessori in 2024, and I am excited to be a part of this community.

I enjoy playing volleyball, cuddling with my cat named Bandit, eating at new places, traveling, and hanging out with friends and family.
